Pauline has had a long involvement in national public sector work and work with the Pacific community. As well as being the Chief Executive of the Auckland Kindergarten Association, she has her own consultancy Interpacific Ltd. Previously Pauline was the Chief Executive of the Ministry for Pacific People (Te Manatu mo Nga Iwi o Te Moana-nui-a-Kiwa). She is a former Deputy Chief Commissioner at the Transport Accident Investigation Commission and provided support to the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the sinking of the Princess Ashika in Tonga.
Pauline has been a commissioner for the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) and is a previous Pacific Business Woman of the Year. She was awarded a Queen’s Service Order (QSO) in 2008 for her work with the business and Pacific communities. She was elected to the Tui Ora board in November 2018.
Pauline’s father is of Samoan descent, so she shares dual cultural heritage. She is currently exploring whānau links to Parihaka in coastal Taranaki.
