Alf Robson is Pou Whakahaere Pūmanawa Tangata (Senior People and Capability Lead) and joined Tui Ora in December 2023.
Alf became part of the Tui Ora team after an long and varied career at Tegel Foods where he held multiple roles from production and operations through to Logistics Management before becoming a senior HR practitioner. He has a genuine passion for people and a further passion for hauora.
Alf is also Kaiwhakahaere for Taranaki Toa, a hauora kaupapa which encourages whānau to engage in regular exercise and activity in an effort to address an over representation of Māori in poor health statistics. Alf received the New Plymouth Citizens Award in 2021 for his mahi in this space. He has an extensive background in sports and sports administration having managed the NZ Junior Mens Softball team to four World Cup campaigns.
Born in Waitara and bred in Taranaki, Alf has whakapapa to Ngati Tama, Ngati Maniapoto, Ngati Tuwharetoa and Te Aupouri.
