What you can expect

Tui Ora Hauora ā-Whānau is a full-service general practice (GP) clinic (formally called Tui Ora Family Health) which supports enrolled whānau with:

  • Medical consultations and appointments with a registered:
    • General Practitioner
    • Nurse Practitioner
    • Registered Nurse,
    • Health Improvement Practitioner (HIP)
    • Physiotherapist
  • Assessment and treatment for minor accidents
  • Minor surgical procedures
  • Regular recall for breast examinations, cervical smears, diabetes checks and immunisations
  • ACC Consultations
  • Pregnancy tests and support
  • Contraceptive advice and prescribing, sexually transmitted disease screening and treatment
  • Contraception insertion – IUD’s and Jadelles
  • Six-week new baby checks
  • Liquid nitrogen treatment
  • ECG & Spirometry
  • Driver’s Licence Medicals

Health Done Differently

Tui Ora Hauora ā-Whānau has a holistic view of care, ensuring whānau can access a wide range of services and overcome many traditional barriers to health and wellbeing.  As part of Tui Ora we can refer to all Tui Ora services, including our new Rongoa service through which whānau can receive funded (free) mirimiri.

Costs

Standard consultation fees for enrolled patients:

  • Child under 14 years | Free
  • Child 14 – 17 years | $13.00
  • Adults over 18 years | $19.50
  • Nurse appointment | $12.00

All fees charged are for a 15-minute consultation.

Additional charges apply for:

  • Longer consultations or additional services provided
  • Prescriptions
  • Non-attendance of an appointment without prior notice
  • Administration fee on accounts not paid at the end of the month
