Ngaio Marama (Ngāpuhi) is Pou Whakahaere Whānau Hāpai and joined Tui Ora in September 2023. She has oversight of Tui Ora’s Whānau Ora and Primary Care services, and also leads the innovation and improvement function that brings Tui Ora in even closer alignment with our whānau-centric pathway experience model, Whānau Hāpai.
Ngaio began her career as a Management Consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and had the opportunity to work in New York, London, Vancouver and throughout Australia, leading teams on fascinating and challenging projects. Since that time, Ngaio has held numerous IT leadership positions, including the Chief Information Officer of the Taranaki District Health Board. She has continued to broaden out her leadership experience with roles at Methanex leading Stakeholder Relations, Communications, Finance, Procurement and IT functions and most recently at Toi Foundation as the Social Innovation and Partnerships Manager.
Outside of work Ngaio enjoys keeping fit, writing and learning to play the drums.
