Wayne Mulligan

Co-Chair

Wayne is a founding partner and the Chief Executive of Fomana Capital Ltd and of NZ Bio Forestry Limited. He holds a Master of Management from the University of Auckland, specialising in business modelling and systems thinking.

Wayne has managed entrepreneurial start-ups, as well as public and private enterprises, and is a shareholder and director on a number of innovative bio-pharmacy, biochemistry and nutrition companies. He is also involved in several Māori businesses.

Wayne has attended a range of Stanford University executive courses as well as Queenstown Agribusiness summits taught by Harvard University professors.

He is on the steering committee of Te Hono – an alumni group of NZ technology and agri-businesses who work with Stanford University and global innovation companies and institutions.
His involvement in community spans Tāwhiri Limited (responsible for events including NZ Festival of the Arts) WellingtonNZ (regional development/marketing) CreativeHQ (innovation) and attracting global innovators and entrepreneurs to New Zealand via the Edmund Hillary Fellowship.

His iwi affiliations are Taranaki, Te Atiawa, Ngāti Ruanui and Ngāti Maniapoto. Wayne joined the Tui Ora board in March 2007, and has served both as our Chair and Co-Chair.
