Tui Ora remains guided by the vision and aspirations of the eight iwi of Taranaki who founded us: Ngāti Tama, Ngāti Mutunga, Te Atiawa, Ngāti Maru, Taranaki, Ngā Ruahine, Ngāti Ruanui and Ngā Rauru. Our executive leadership team reports to an overseeing board of directors who are answerable to our owner Te Tuituia Trust.

Te Tuituia Trust

Tui Ora has a single shareholder — Te Tuituia Trust. The Trust is governed by a Board appointed by Te Whare Punanga Korero Trust (TWPKT). TWPKT represents the eight Iwi of Taranaki in matter of hauora and their goals (below) align with our kaupapa:

Develop and implement health initiatives endorsed by Iwi and interested Māori health groups.
Develop, implement and promote quality health service delivery that is tika and includes Māori cultural health values.
